Dr. Emily Maiella

Trained as a naturopathic primary care physician, Dr. Maiella enjoys visits with the entire family, including infants, children, adults of all ages and pregnant/postpartum mothers.

For the past 16 years, her speciality has been learning about Lyme disease /long standing infections, and how best to treat them (through a variety of teaching outlets, including ILADS, Klinghardt Institute). However, with any condition,  she begins by reminding her patients that their bodies are wise and capable of healing, given the right environment/opportunity.  (The Vis Medicatrix Naturae).  Together, Dr. Maiella and her patients create a plan that focuses on balance and restoration the body.  This may include using a variety of natural plant-based anti-microbials/immune modulators, detoxification of heavy metals and toxins, dental health analysis, gastrointestinal healing and psycho-emotional-spiritual work.

She uses a number of modalities to inquire into the body and to help guide treatments. A thorough history and getting to know her patients is a priority, as often times, patients’ already know why they are unwell and what they need to heal. Just a gentle guiding and inquiry is needed.

Dr. Maiella offers this guidance and helps patients to identify and resolve traumas/conflicts using  EMDR/EMDR Intensives, psycho-kinesiology (PK), mental field therapy (MFT), color therapy, eye movements and generational genograms.

Your  self reflection and inner work will synergize and strengthen all of the other suggested physical body treatments.

Dr. Maiella loves living close to nature by growing organic vegetables, fruits and meats, and being a graceful steward of the earth.  She loves nurturing all things natural and wild, including (but not limited to) her bees and kids (humans and goats).
